Dive into Self-Care: A Burnout Survivor's Journey to Healing Through Swimming
I brought my bike, swimming suit, and towel and went there. One lesson costs 1 euro and 75 cents, approximately 1 hour. So, I was super happy. It has the same rules as in Ukraine: shower before and shower after.
Since I was still burnt out, I couldn't swim longer than 5 minutes and rest for 15 minutes. I'd done three rounds, and then time was over. In total, I'd done something like 15 minutes of swimming. I was so tired and so happy I could do at least something.
I harmed my face with something I didn't recognize then but discovered it the next day.
Let's go step by step. I hate to feel drops of water on my face. So, I continuously removed it and ignored the chemical stuff in the water. After swimming, I took my bike and went back home. Even though it was sunny, it was still windy, and I overdried my face skin even more.
So, the next day, it was super dry and etching. I was seeking to fix this issue, and my GP suggested to me vaseline.
In the end, vaseline did an excellent job. However, I still walked with a red face with elements of dead skin in the layers.
Should I say I've stopped swimming for almost a month?
I am so grateful I have oily skin and don't need to spend too much time caring for my face and neck.
